4 months. A full semester. Its been a while, huh?

Well, a lot happened over the last 4 months and its honestly very hard to condense it down into a newsletter. I am regretting not posting weekly now, but well, can’t go back in time (yet). So, I’ll keep this very short and hope to provide more focused updates now on.
First, the uni: It was fun. I had to pull off all-nighters some times, juggled with deadlines, questioned my abilities but it all turned out well in the end. Learnt ML from ground up (i know what a jacobian is now, i am not losing a twitter argument on this ever again) and questioned my life decisions in the algo class. Wrote a CFD solver 4 times - first Python, then rust and back again in python and then an all together different method, and worked on the drone project. Have some ideas I wanna work on in the future now.
Second, I went for a short california trip in my spring break (yk LA, SF and LV), met some friends, made some new ones. I liked SF a lot, I visited the buildspace campus and founders inc, found an awesome hostel nearby, saw so many demos at NVIDIA GDC (still regret missing out on the discounted jetson nanos). My only regret is that I did not stay there for longer. The people were awesome, almost every cafe had folks working on their startups, and so many of them were enthusiastic telling me about what they were working on! Can’t wait to go back and meet everyone.
Also I decided to work on my own idea. In april I received a newsletter from Create-X, where they described a program called idea2prototype. Once accepted, they give a grant of about $500 towards building your prototype along with mentorship and a community to build it with. It sounded perfect for me! I applied with my idea and got in, so thats what has been going on for the last couple of weeks. I’ll tell more about the idea in a bit but its not really a secret either, if you stalk my github you would get the basic idea about what i am building. I plan to first launch in the middle of june, so i’ll do a more focused update around that time for it. But that is what the rest of this newsletter updates would mostly focus on.
